Construction of a veranda.

In order to solve the problem of circulation and to mask the swimming pool located beyond the threshold of entry, we had to create a new volume which had at the same time : to mark the entry in a more consequent way, to be a place of life, to be integrated perfectly into the existing architecture and finally to shelter a water reserve.

We thus drew and constructed this veranda whose bottom contains 40 m3 of water, the 25 Sqm room is completely closed with chimney, bench etc..

The structure entirely out of reinforced concrete, the roof is made of wood beams and wood flooring covered with light concrete. The "finca" style of the veranda fits perfectly into the architectural style of the house, bringing the house its missing dimension.
